Seven. The point of putting both halves in one list is that they are the same thing. Two microphones on one snare, a reflection off a desk, a delayed copy summed back with the original: that is a comb filter, and it is why the drum went hollow. Move the delay with an LFO and it is a flanger. Put a low pass in the feedback path and excite it with a burst of noise and it is a plucked string. Nobody designed three effects. They designed one, and it turns up wearing different clothes. First three: the problem, including how to find it in a real measurement instead of arguing about it. Then the implementation in code.
